Casa E+M: Double Score - Florence 2026
Project interior designer
A young couple with a child decides to move into a newly available family home, strongly characterized by its existing finishes and furnishings. The layout itself — divided between the first floor and an attic level with access to a large recessed terrace — did not fully meet their needs, lacking a second bathroom and featuring a living area split into two separate, non-communicating spaces. From the very beginning, there was a strong understanding with the clients: the vision was clear. The project — supported by Studio Pacinotti, which handled the administrative and bureaucratic aspects — made it possible to create a spacious living area conceived as a sequence of physically and visually connected spaces, allowing a transversal connection throughout the entire apartment. A second full bathroom was added, along with a master sleeping area featuring a walk-in closet and private bathroom. The staircase connecting the two levels was completely redesigned with a new antique pink resin finish and the addition of practical built-in storage underneath. A custom-designed piece of furniture, crafted by Florentine artisans, acts as a filter between the dining area and the living room, echoing the ribbed wood detailing of the walnut kitchen block. “Double Score” is a youthful apartment with warm, refined finishes, flooded with light that flows through it throughout the day.Photo: Francesco Di Placido
