Casa M: Deep Blue - Riparbella 2026
Interior Design Project
A small apartment — just over 40 square metres — born from its owner’s deep desire for the sea. This is where the concept for this interior design project begins. We are in Riparbella, a small hilltop village just a few minutes from the sea, which in recent years has been the focus of an important artistic and cultural regeneration project. A group of friends decided to purchase two small buildings on the outskirts of the village, both in an advanced state of disrepair, and restore them through a substantial renovation. Our apartment is located on the ground floor of the southern building and consists of a living area with a kitchenette and access to the terrace, a bedroom, and a bathroom with an anteroom and a separate shower niche. Through a series of design solutions, we sought to expand the visual perception of the spaces. The bedroom features a large glazed wall separating it from the kitchen area, complemented by curtains that provide the necessary privacy. Meanwhile, the creation of a wide opening allowed us to incorporate the entrance into the living room, creating a more fluid and continuous space. Finally, the bathroom has a dual entrance, including direct access from the bedroom, providing greater flexibility of use for both the owner and her guests.Photo: Francesco Di Placido
